9. OTHER RESTRICTIONS ON THE CONTENT
OF INFORMATION
The Code of Minors, endorsed by Decree 2737 of 1989, provides
some restrictions on information disseminated by the media about
minors.
According to Articles 300 to 304 of the above-cited instrument,
it is prohibited to make transmissions or publications against the
physical, mental or moral integrity of minors. No publications shall
incite to violence, justify crime or contain prurient or pornographic
descriptions.
Minors shall not be interviewed, give their names or disclose
data which reveal, or lead to, their identification. The same prohibition
is applied, among other instances, when a minor commits a crime
or is a victim of a crime.
