H a i t i 2. SPECIFIC PRESS LAWS There is a Press Law promulgated on July 31, 1986. The first
law dates back to August 27, 1885, amended on December 15, 1922,
amended on January 22, 1923, amended on June 27, 1923. There was
an ensuing decision which resulted in the last amendment of July
31, 1986. This law is different from the law on radio and television,
which is in fact a law enacted on communication media in general.
This law was promulgated on October 12, 1977.
