3. BROADCAST LAWS AND THE CONTENT
OF INFORMATION
A radio and television law was enacted and published in the
official gazette on July 5, 1999. Art. 41 of this law extends the
practice of licensing radio and television announcers. It restricts
freedom of the press by requiring announcers to be licensed.
