14. PUBLIC INFORMATION AND ACCESS TO GOVERNMENT INFORMATION

There is no legislation requiring the state to reveal information, nor any legal or judicial mechanism empowering journalists to force the state to provide information.

Although the constitutional clause that permits citizens to petition the government in Article 30 is a means of obtaining a reply to their petitions from officials, this provision does not guarantee the public?s access to information.
