r u g u a y 17. REGULATION OF OWNERSHIP AND REGISTRATION
REQUIREMENTS OF PUBLICATIONS The Press Law, Law 16,099, specifies in Articles 4 to 6 that
the printers or publishers of daily and weekly newspapers, magazines,
bulletins or other periodical publications are required to submit
a written sworn statement to the Ministry of Education and Culture
containing the name of the responsible editor and of the responsible
executive. The registration of publications is also regulated under Law
9,739 of December 17, 1937, in Articles 6 and 53.
