RIGHT OF REPLY AND OF RETRACTION
There is no provision that establishes the right of reply,
retraction or correction in the national order. Irrespective of
this, in the case of ?Ekmekdjian v. Sofovich,? of July 7, 1992,
the Supreme Court, in an isolated case, accepted the right of reply
in a split ruling.
The Supreme Court, without a previous law from Congress and
via a court decision, accepted the right of correction or reply
established in Article 14 of the American Convention on Human Rights
(Agreement of San José, Costa Rica).
