15. ETHIC CODES OR SELFREGULATION

There are no legal norms or of self-regulation that rule journalistic ethics.

There are those who lean toward the admissibility of creating a tribunal of that nature, contending that it would result in greater professional responsibility on the part of journalists. In addition, they affirm that, just as lawyers and doctors are judged by their peers, the same should happen to journalists. However, these are minority opinions that are not the subject of legal regulation.
