19. ANTITRUST LAWS LIMITING CAPITAL CONCENTRATION IN THE PRINT MEDIA

No special legislation exists to apply antitrust regulations to limit the concentration of capital in print media. However, there are generic rules that apply to all business activities. Article 333 of the Constitution does guarantee economic freedom and private enterprise, as well as free competition, and establishes that the State shall not create obstacles to economic freedom and shall control abuses in this context by individuals or entities.

Article 75 of the National Constitution provides that the electromagnetic spectrum is a public good, assuring equal opportunities of access to its use. The same article provides for legal regulations which have yet to be adopted.
