8. RIGHT TO A GOOD NAME, TO PRIVACY,
TO OWN IMAGE
The new Constitution provides for the protection of honor,
good reputation and personal and family privacy in numeral 8 of
Art. 23, as already mentioned.
Art. 2258 of the Civil Code provides: ?Slanderous accusations
against anyone?s good reputation and credit support the right to
demand monetary compensation, not only in regard to proven material
damages and loss of income, but also as to moral damages.?
