Condena atentado contra periodistas en Honduras
Miami (21 de mayo de 2013).- La Sociedad Interamericana de Prensa (SIP) condenó el atentado en Honduras contra un periodista y un camarógrafo, al tiempo que anunció hoy que una delegación internacional de la organización visitará Tegucigalpa la próxima semana con el propósito de abordar temas de libertad de prensa y sobre la aplicación de medidas tendientes a garantizar la protección y a combatir la impunidad en los crímenes contra periodistas.

SIP pide a México investigar ataques cibernéticos contra El Mañana de Nuevo Laredo
Miami (15 de mayo de 2013).- La Sociedad Interamericana de Prensa (SIP) pidió a las autoridades de México investigar la denuncia del periódico El Mañana de Nuevo Laredo sobre ataques cibernéticos a su portal de internet, en aparente represalia por sus notas periodísticas en las que cuestiona el desempeño de políticos locales.

Grave afrenta a la libertad de información incautación de registros telefónicos de AP
Miami (14 de mayo de 2013). - La Sociedad Interamericana de Prensa (SIP) calificó la incautación de registros telefónicos de la agencia de noticias Associated Press (AP) y de sus periodistas, realizada por el Departamento de Justicia de Estados Unidos, como “una grave afrenta a la libertad de información y una violación al derecho a la reserva de las fuentes confidenciales”.
