Holmann, Juan Lorenzo

Juan Lorenzo Holmann Chamorro, La Prensa, Managua, Nicaragua (en prisión), es gerente de La Prensa, el principal medio de comunicación en Nicaragua confiscado por el gobierno de Daniel Ortega. También es el vicepresidente regional de la Comisión de Libertad de Prensa e Información de la SIP. Estudió zootecnia en la Universidad Estatal de Luisiana, Estados Unidos. Permanece en prisión desde el 13 de agosto de 2021 y en abril de este año recibió sentencia de 9 años de prisión por cargos infundados.

Juan Lorenzo Holmann Chamorro, La Prensa, Managua, Nicaragua (in prison), is the general manager of La Prensa, the leading media outlet in Nicaragua confiscated by the government of Daniel Ortega. He is also the regional vice president of the IAPA's Committee on Freedom of the Press and Information. He studied veterinary medicine at Louisiana State University in the United States. He has been in prison since August 13, 2021, and in April of this year, he was sentenced to 9 years on unfounded charges.
