Announcing the opening of the application period, Scholarship Fund President Jaime Mantilla said each scholarship will consist of $13,000 for a nine-month study period.
Deadline for application is December 31, 2003, with the recipients to be selected at the IAPA’s Midyear Meeting in Los Cabos, Mexico, in March 2004.
Mantilla, editor of “Diario Hoy”, Quito, Ecuador, said the Scholarship Fund is making a special request to members to circulate information on the grants in their newsrooms and to local universities.
